Measure M
Get Out and Vote. We need about 15,000 people to vote YES on M for it to pass. The cause needs you tomorrow and Tuesday. If you want Measure M dollars to modernize Pleasanton schools, here is where we need your help:
- Bring yourself and a few friends to Call Banking on Monday, March 2nd from 5:30pm – 7:30pm and Tuesday, March 3rd from 4:00 – 6:00 at Black Tie (7080 Commerce Dr) – Sign up Here.
- Get Out The Vote Sign Waving in front of each school (but not on school property). We would like to have at least 3 – 4 volunteers at drop off and pick up waving a “Yes on M” sign. – Sign up here.
Disney Trip
At this point all tickets are purchased, roommates were selected and bus assignments have been made. Make sure the kids have reviewed the packing requirements and pay attention to the updates for arrival times. Students must arrive at school and bring all gear labeled and packed (luggage, instruments) by 8:30AM on Thursday, March 5th – we are rolling out by 9:15AM. Jazz Night Outing
Every year the Hart Middle School Jazz Band would do a night out, which was always a blast. I wanted to gauge interest in whether or not families would want to attend a performance coming up in April at the California Jazz Conservatory. There is a trombone group performing in Berkley in April called Bonegasm. The website is: https://jenniferwharton.com/events/. Here is a description:
Bonegasm is the brainchild of Jennifer Wharton featuring music by up and coming artists like Sara Jacovino and Edward Perez as well as Grammy veterans like John Fedchock, Alan Ferber and Jim McNeely. New music coming from Darcy James Argue this summer.
I created a sign-up genius for interest. If you would like to attend please put your name (students name) and number of attendees. The tickets are $21.30. Once I get a count I will see about getting group tickets (and maybe saving some money).

Trophy Donations
We have an upcoming unique opportunity for you to provide sponsorship and help us offset the cost of the Winter Band Review. Here is how you can help.
What is the FHS Music Sponsorship for Winter Band Review? We are looking for Corporate, Family, or Individual sponsorships for our upcoming Winter Band Review on March 28. Your sponsorship will fund ALL of our music programs and pay for the cost of our trophies for the event.
Your sponsorship will be recognized in our Winter Band Review Program and announced at our Winter Competition Event. If interested, please fill out the Sponsorship Form and return to the Booster mailbox in the band room or click on this link to make your sponsorship. What is a Trophy Sponsorship? If you choose to do a Trophy Sponsorship instead of a flat donation, you can select the level and placement of the Trophy along with a dedication to your child or any student. You will also have the option of having your child/student present the trophy at the award ceremony.
