First full week of October and everything is moving quickly. Thank you to everyone who volunteered on the Sign Up Genius for Band Review and helping with Push Crew on Friday. It is exciting to see the show come together. Please keep your eye open for additional communications this week about our trip to London and more!

50th Band Review Student and Adult Volunteer Sign Up
We have an incredible 50th anniversary Band Review event coming up October 26th, and need your help to make it a success! It is also our largest fundraiser for the year, and supports all of the music ensembles and programs.
Thank you for signing up. We still have some available spots, such as Parade-Barricade Guard, FHS-Parking Lots, FHS-Concession Stand, etc. Please check it out!

Band Review Prep Meeting
***Band Review is on Sat. Oct. 26 and we need Help!***
This week we will have our meeting on Wed 10/9 at 7pm. Location: C-6
Symphony/String Orchestra
- Please encourage your students to continue to work on rhythm reading.
- Students should ask their section leader for additional help. Meeting during access is a great opportunity to catch up.
Jazz A
- Looking for parent volunteers to drive Jazz A students to College of San Mateo Festival on Nov 22, 2024 – Would need volunteer 3 clearance.
- It is highly encouraged that students take private lessons.
- Mr. Nishimori is happy to recommend teachers
- Our bass coach will now be in regularly to work with students.

Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Concert Band, & Percussion Class
- Upcoming dates/performances in October
- October 11th – Football Game (Homecoming) @ 6:00pm – Marching Band will be performing in uniform! We need Pit Crew Help!
- October 15th – CBDA All State Auditions are due!
- Performance Dress Information – Required this by Nov 16th
- Please take a look at the Performance Dress for Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Concert Band, and Percussion Class HERE. This is required by November 16th, we will be performing at Lincoln High School for the NCBA Concert Competition.
Marching Band and Color Guard
Competition Dates in October:
- October 19th: Independence High School, San Jose
- October 26th: 50th Foothill Band Review, Pleasanton
- This is an all day event. All students and parents are required to volunteer.
