About The Foothill Marching Band/Color Guard

The Foothill High School Marching Band/Color Guard has nearly 200 members. Any music student at Foothill High School can participate.

Marching Band/Color Guard participates in both Northern California Band Association (NCBA) competitions and Western Band Association (WBA) competitions through the months of October and November.

Key points about Marching Band/Color Guard:

  • Students who participate in 2 years of marching band receive 2 semesters of PE credit.
  • Students who complete two seasons of marching are eligible for a Block F and can get a letterman jacket. Students receive additional Letterman Jacket decorations with each year spent in marching band.
  • Parents are welcome (and encouraged) to attend rehearsals.
  • Attendance at all competitions is mandatory.
  • Incoming freshman should complete the information form.
  • Since Freshman must take PE, those participating in Marching Band will have an A period PE class.

Marching Band/Color Guard is under the direction of Moises Fagundes.

Marching Band Commitment

Marching band is a significant commitment: a commitment of time, physical dedication, rehearsals, and more. The Marching Bands success is dependent on the commitment of our students to the ensemble.

Along with fantastic memories and friendships, the Marching Band offers opportunities for sharpening performance skills and leadership opportunities.

Below is an overview of the schedule, events, and competitions from August to November.
