Message from Rob

Happy Holidays, Parents!

I hope your Thanksgiving was memorable and safe. All of us earned that break with the number of events, competitions, performances, homework, and everything else leading up to it. A lot of great things are coming up, especially our Winter Performances this week. I hope to see you all there.

For this holiday season, I’m working with Foothill administration to see if we, the music program, can adopt a number of in-need families this holiday season. I’ll know more on Friday and will send out a separate email with those details. I’m excited for us to share our blessings with those families in our community that may need some help this holiday season.

We are also holding an in–person crab feed on January 27th at the Veteran’s Memorial Building in downtown Pleasanton. We will be selling tickets soon, so expect that announcement soon. It is one of our key fundraisers this year, so if you know of anyone that would be willing to donate a week at a vacation home, wine, or other high ticket value items, please let me know.

Southern California Trip: SAVE THE DATE!

Our band trip this year is to Southern California. The trip will run from April 20-23.  The trip will include the marching band performing in Disneyland and us going to see a musical and the LA Phil. We are still finalizing several important details but will have more to share at the next parents meeting.  The marching band will debut the new uniforms at this event. As mentioned at Back To School, if you are not in the marching band but would like to be part of the trip, please let Mr. Hinojosa and Mr. Nishimori know. Both shared that we will find you a spot so you can be part of the parade and the trip as a whole. We look forward to all of you being part of this great trip.

Rough breakdown of the trip:

Thursday – Depart Pleasanton (AM), lunch stop (on own), arrive to hotel (pizza dinner, provided), Musical performance.

Frida – Disney Day, marching band performance part of this day (breakfast provided, lunch/dinner on own)

Saturday – Disney, free day in the park (breakfast provided, lunch/dinner on own)
