Message from Rob
Jazz and Marching bands had incredible performances at Lodi this weekend. Our student’s dedication to being amazing performers, our directors teaching our kids to be exemplary musicians, the technicians/support staff have been amazing helping the band continue to grow in potential, and all of you, parents, and your volunteer efforts have been brilliant. All of your dedication, time, and commitment to the kids is very much appreciated.
When I was sitting in the stands waiting for us to take the field, parents from other schools, members from other bands, and more were chatting around us, waiting for our show to start. As the show started, there was some light chatter, but once our Marching Band hit that first full note of the show, I heard audible *gasps* from the crowd, they went silent, and truly paid attention to all of our field show.
A lot is coming up in the coming weeks, all detailed in this email. Highlights are:
- Future Band Competition Dates
- NCBA Napa this weekend
- Food Donations
- Family and Friends Night
- NCBA Champs Schedule
- Fundraising: See’s Candy, Amazon Smile, and FairShare

Friends and Family Night – AVHS (Nov 17th)
The Friends and Family night will take place at Amador Valley High on November 17th. This is a non-competitive event where FHS, DHS and AVHS have the opportunity to display our field show performances to anyone in the local community. The show rotates yearly between the 3 high schools. This is a great opportunity to invite friends and family to see the field show.
Senior parents – be sure to mark your calendars. We will be recognizing the Seniors and have photos taken of the Seniors with their parents/families.
The event is free and will start at 7:00pm. Rough breakdown of the evening looks like:
7:00-7:05 Welcomes/Hellos from all directors
7:05-7:30 Dublin senior recognitions/performance
7:35-8:00 Foothill senior recognitions/performance
8:05-8:35 Amador senior recognitions/performance
Preliminary schedule for NCBA Champs – Lincoln (Nov 19th)
The Champs itinerary is being finalized but I can share performance times for our groups that day.

9:30 AM Jazz B Performance
11:45 AM Parade Performance
3:20 PM Concert / Symphonic Performance
5:00 PM Jazz A Performance
