2022 Marching band camp

Hello Foothill Students and Families!

Do you have have a passion for music?

Do you have an instrument at home that is waiting to be played?

Were you ever in band?

If you answered yes to any of the above questions then we invite you to join us at Band Camp August 1-6 at Foothill High School. The Foothill Marching Band has a long history of excellence throughout California. We are gearing up for our football games, travel, competitions and all sorts of performances this coming school year! Marching band is open to anyone who wants to participate, no experience necessary. If you don’t have an instrument or equipment, we will provide it for you on the first day of camp.

2022 Show

Our 2021 production is entitled 1001 Nights.  You can find all music and other show files for marching band on the dropbox at

You will find parts / recordings / warm ups, etc. We will also have copies on hand during camp.  We are planning a full competitive season with the band traveling to competitions in Northern California this fall.

Band Camp:

We have lots of fun activities planned for Band Week. Our goal is to make everyone feel welcome and part of the band family. The details for the week are as follows:

Band Camp Schedule:

Dates: August 1 to August 6, 2022

Times: 9am to 9pm (lunch is 12-1:30pm / dinner is: 4:30-6pm) 

Lunch and dinner are on your own. You can either bring food to eat at the school or go home for the lunch and dinner breaks.

We will meet at the Large Gym on campus on the first day. Never been to FHS campus? Here is a campus map

Spirit Days:

We are a spirited bunch, some would say the most spirited on campus! Check our themes for our Spirit Days during Band Camp:

Monday: Monochrome –  tones of blacks/whites

Tuesday: Tie Dye/Hippie – anything with multiple colors

Wednesday: On Wednesdays we wear pink…cause we do =) 

Thursday: 80s Mania – the brighter the color the better

Friday: Disney – bring your favorite Disney gear

Saturday: Beach Day – dress up for the beach

Saturday is Family Day: Pancake Breakfast & Parent Meeting:

Parents, we haven’t forgotten about you! The Foothill Music Boosters we will be holding a Pancake Breakfast for the Marching Band students and parents on the morning of Saturday, August 6th, 2022. The breakfast is complimentary for students and families, but we would love it if you drop a $10 donation per family in the donation jar. We’ll have band merchandise for sale so you can stock up early. 

After breakfast, we will be holding our First General Parent Meeting at 10:00am in the MPR. We hope that all parents can attend this meeting. We will be giving lots of information about the upcoming year that you don’t want to miss.  

Look out for a sign-up genius for volunteers and donations for our Pancake Breakfast coming later this week.

Breakfast: 8:00-10:00 am

Mandatory Parent Meeting: 10:00-11:00am

Parents join students @ Field: 11:00-12:00pm

Remember that it’s not an obligation to join, it’s just lets us know that you want to come try it out and see if it’s something you want to be a part of. 

What to bring:

  • Sunscreen
  • Water Bottle (half gallon jug recommended)
  • Hat
  • Sunglasses
  • Closed Toed Athletic Shoes
  • Jacket or Pants for the windy evenings
  • Face Mask
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Food (a lunch and/or dinner if you will be staying for breaks)
  • Instrument (if not renting a school instrument / equipment)
