Hello Foothill Instrumental Music Parents!
We are on the eve of the 2023 Band Camp and can expect many new exciting things this year.
Following up on Mr. Fagundes’ email about the Band Camp schedule, I wanted to share what we, as parents and Boosters, can do to help our students during Band Camp.
Pancake Breakfast
The Foothill Instrumental Music Boosters would like to invite all parents and siblings of students participating in any Foothill Instrumental Music ensembles to our 2023 Pancake Breakfast and Kick-Off Meeting on Saturday, 8/5, at 8a. We will host a pancake breakfast for our students and families. We will then meet in the Multi-Purpose Room at 10a to kick off this new music year! We will introduce the board, review this music season, what to expect, expectations of us all, and how you can help this season!
Events and Help Wanted
During Band Camp, the Boosters will be hosting three events for the kids:
- Ice Cream Social on Tuesday, 8/1, at 4:30p – We will set up under the tree, behind the Band Room, and pass out ice cream sandwiches, popsicles, and more as our students leave for a dinner break. The social will be a great break for our students and a chance for us to show how much we appreciate their hard work.
- Pasta Feed, Thursday 8/3 at 4:30p – We will serve pasta, sauce, bread, and drinks to all the students for their dinner break. We will set up in the Breezeway in front of the Band Room. Another great chance for the kids to eat, socialize, and have a great time.
- Pancake Breakfast, Saturday, 8/5, from 8a to 10a – The Pancake Breakfast serves as Kick Off to the new Music season as we feed our kids and families before Band Camp rehearsal. Click here to sign up to help organize and serve at the event.
Food Donations
We need food donations to make the Pancake Breakfast happen. If you sign up for a food donation, please review where and when the donation should be left. Typically, food donations are dropped off at the Band Room, but we ask you to make sure and drop them off on time.
