Happy New Year, Foothill Instrumental Music Families!
We hope you had a wonderful winter break! The second semester is officially underway. While the spring semester isn’t as busy as the fall, we still have plenty of exciting events planned. For a sneak peek at what’s ahead, check out the Foothill band calendar. Additionally, we’ll share a detailed list of monthly events before each new month to keep you informed.

The Marching band had a smashing time in London.
It was action packed, but all too short. We took many coach and walking tours of iconic attractions in London (Hey look kids, there’s Big Ben, and there’s Parliament… again); played in a historic church (it’ll be on TV soon!); visited Oxford University & Christchurch college (study abroad opportunity?); Marched 2.5 miles in a parade in the driving rain (all the students and some parents were wet and cold, but we’re now considered world famous); visited a functioning royal castle & residence; as well as a historic one inhabited by Beefeaters, crows, and the Crown Jewels; saw Christmas lights from a double decker bus (some of us froze, some of us were nice and warm); and admired some priceless artwork and artifacts from around the globe (some countries would like their stuff back.. please)
Along the way, we bonded through adversity, and documented our journey as follows… Enjoy!

Individual Donation Needed
The Foothill Music Program is fully dependent on family donations to support various core activities. If you have donated, we thank you! If you have not yet donated, we ask that you consider doing so this school year! Our budget for the year is $140,000, and so far, we have raised $97,296(See donation thermometer here) Please note that buses, food, truck rentals, and staff/clinician costs for competitions are covered by family donations. Your support directly impacts your student’s experience in the program. Please support the Foothill Music Program by donating the suggested amounts below.

• Jazz A/Jazz B – $200
• String/Symphony Orchestra – $100
• Fall Season: Marching Band/Color Guard/Percussion – $900

Credit card donations are accepted through Foothill Future Fund and through CutTime payment(Look for SMS ”{student name} has a balance on their account at the FOOTHILL HS BAND program.”).
