Welcome to our September 2020 Communication Update!  This newsletter will capture a few big topics that you will help keep you involved and informed.  Please ensure you check the website and subscribe to our band calendar.

Student Leadership Profiles:

We are lucky to have an amazing student leadership team for Marching Band.  This group works to support all of our amazing band students. Take a few minutes to review the profiles of this amazing group of students. Check out the link provided in our email.

Student Treasurer Updates: 

THANK YOU to all who have already donated to support funding of the Foothill Music Program. With our fall season already underway, your donations are needed to support instruction, equipment and materials required to create a safe educational experience for our students.

To date, we’ve received only 1/4th of the expected donations for our fall campaign. For those who have not yet donated in full, please consider donating today. Installment plans may still be started before the end of September thru FutureFund. For those who’ve already donated, please consider seeking corporate matching funds to multiply the impact of your donation.

Credit card donations are accepted on FutureFund at Foothill Future Fund (foothill.futurefund.com/store)

Donations by check may be mailed to Foothill Band Boosters Club, PO Box 866, Pleasanton CA 94566.

Foothill Band Boosters Club is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, Tax ID #94-2795425. Donations are tax-deductible to the full extent provided by law. Donations are also eligible for most corporate matching programs. For any donations by check, please include your email address in the memo line if you’d like a receipt for your donation. Credit card donations will receive emailed receipts automatically.

As a reminder, all music program families are asked to donate to help Foothill Band Booster Club fund the FHS music program each year. For our Fall Pledge campaign, we ask the following based on each family’s participation:

  • Marching Band/Guard: $498
  • Symphonic/Concert Band: $194
  • Wind: $272
  • Jazz Band 1/2: $224
  • Orchestra: $91

A Message from our Booster President

Chaperone Fun!

About this time of year we normally would be going to practices and seeing the field show taking shape, going to Friday night games to cheer on the Band (and the football team) and we would be working hard at preparing for our October Fall Band Review Fundraiser.  2020 continues to challenge all of our lives but we hope you are all doing well, staying safe and making the best of the fall semester.  

We miss seeing all of the students and families but please know that the Band Booster Board is still meeting, planning, and working to keep our program strong for all of the students.  

Please be sure to join us for our next General Band Booster Meeting on Wednesday, September 23rd at 7PM as there are a few items we will be discussing – or if there is anything you would like to have addressed please let us know – at the very least please pop on to say ‘Hi!”
