Hello parents! We enter another busy week as we prepare for our Winter Show, hosted BACK at Foothill for the first time since 2023! It is great to be back home.
As always, all families from all ensembles are required to sign up for at least one shift during this weekend’s Winter Show. Link to the signup is below.
A quick story:
Denise Reyes, our Hospitality Lead, shared that a non-band parent has donated some food to Hospitality. This parent donates to the music program because, despite their son not being able to participate in our music program, loves our music program. That love this program brings to the community is what makes this community such an amazing place to be. Please be sure to volunteer so we can continue to build community and raise funds so this music program can continue to be that incredible example.

Volunteer Sign-Up: 2025 Foothill Winter Show
Hi Music and Guard Program families!
One of the largest program fundraisers, the Winter Show, is coming up on Saturday March 22 and we need your help. All proceeds benefit all music programs at Foothill. If you already signed up, thank you! We will see you on that day. If you haven’t signed up yet, please do so.
Adult Volunteer SignUp – there is a separate signup for students.
The lead for your area will reach out before the event, or you’ll get directed to the right spot when you sign in at the volunteer check-in in the breezeway near the band/music room. Thank you for making our community amazing!
*Volunteers may park in the staff parking lot on the FHS campus.

Winter Percussion and Guard
We are scrambling to find drivers days before the competition. Please fill out the paperwork to get cleared to drive students to competitions. Directions below.

Each volunteer must complete a three step clearing process:
- Step 1: Fill out the Volunteer Clearance Form
- Step 2: Get fingerprinted (CLICK HERE for live scan locations)
- Step 3: Fill out the Driver Insurance Form as soon as possible. Once the Driver Insurance Form has been completed it needs to be submitted to the school office to complete the clearance process.

- May 2nd – CMEA @ Amador Valley for String and Symphony Orchestras
Jazz A/B
- May 8th Spring Concert @ Rios-Lovell Winery
Wind Ensemble/Symphonic Band/Concert Band/Percussion Class
- March 31st – April 4th – Wind Ensemble Auditions for 25-26 school year
- April 29th – Symphonic Band and Concert Band Concert @ Amador Valley
- May 1st – Wind Ensemble Concert @ Amador Valley
- May 2nd – CMEA @ Amador Valley for Concert and Symphonic Band
- May 3rd – CMEA @ Amador Valley for Wind Ensemble
Performance Dress Required
Please review the required performance attire for Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Concert Band, and Percussion Class. This is mandatory for all performances with these ensembles.

Individual Donation Needed
The Foothill Music Program is fully dependent on family donations to support various core activities. If you have donated, we thank you! If you have not yet donated, we ask that you consider doing so this school year! Our budget for the year is $140,000, and so far, we have raised $145,000(See donation thermometer here) Please note that buses, food, truck rentals, and staff/clinician costs for competitions are covered by family donations. Your support directly impacts your student’s experience in the program. Please support the Foothill Music Program by donating the suggested amounts below.
• Concert/Symphonic Band – $150
• Wind Ensemble – $225
• Jazz A/Jazz B – $200
• String/Symphony Orchestra – $100
• Fall Season: Marching Band/Color Guard/Percussion – $900
• Winter Season: Guard – $900
