Individual Donation Needed

The Foothill Music Program is fully dependent on family donations to support various core activities. If you have donated, we thank you! If you have not yet donated, we ask that you consider doing so this school year! Our budget for the year is $140,000, and so far, we have raised $76,000(See donation thermometer here) Please note that buses, food, truck rentals, and staff/clinician costs for competitions are covered by family donations. Your support directly impacts your student’s experience in the program. Please support the Foothill Music Program by donating the suggested amounts below.

• Concert/Symphonic Band – $150

• Wind Ensemble – $225

• Jazz A/Jazz B – $200

• String/Symphony Orchestra – $100

• Fall Season: Marching Band/Color Guard/Percussion – $900

• Winter Season: Guard – $900

• Winter Season: Percussion – $900

Credit card donations are accepted through Foothill Future Fund and through CutTime payment(Look for SMS ”{student name} has a balance on their account at the FOOTHILL HS BAND program.”). 50th Band Review

Only 2 more weeks until the 50th Band Review!  We need Adult helpers to make this event happen – please be sure to sign up today!  

We are in desperate need in the morning for Parade helpers – let us know if you have any questions!

Assembling Flags – Help Needed

Thursday Oct 17 at 5:45PM(Approx time: 1 hour). These flags will be sold during band review at the Merch stand and are a very popular item. No prior experience needed. More the merrier!! Reach out to Richa Malik at 484-686-6369

Symphony/String Orchestra

  • Please encourage your students to continue to work on rhythm reading.
  • Students should ask their section leader for additional help.  Meeting during access is a great opportunity to catch up.

Jazz A

  • Looking for parent volunteers to drive Jazz A students to College of San Mateo Festival on Nov 22, 2024 – Would need volunteer 3 clearance.
  • Our bass coach will now be in regularly to work with students.
  • October 16, 2024  – Jazz master class with Mike Conrad

Jazz B

  • Our bass coach will now be in regularly to work with students.

Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Concert Band, & Percussion Class

  • Upcoming dates/performances in October
    • October 15th – CBDA All State Auditions are due! 
  • Performance Dress Information – Required this by Nov 16th
    • Please take a look at the Performance Dress for Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Concert Band, and Percussion Class HERE. This is required by November 16th, we will be performing at Lincoln High School for the NCBA Concert Competition.

Marching Band and Color Guard

Competition Dates in October:

  • October 19th: Independence High School, San Jose Itinerary
  • October 26th: 50th Foothill Band Review, Pleasanton
    • This is an all day event. All students and parents are required to volunteer.
  • November 2nd: Dublin High School, Dublin
    • We don’t take a bus, parents are responsible for dropping off and picking up at Dublin High School. Itinerary will be sent out soon!
  • November 3rd: Pleasanton Veterans Day Parade
    • Morning/Early afternoon

WBA Champs Hotel Info: The WBA Championships will take place at Buchanan High in Clovis. Students and staff will be staying at the Piccadilly Inn, Fresno, for 1 night on Nov 23rd. Thank you to all parents who came out to capture moments, and share their time and effort.  Families were provided a little treat this week, as the Marching Band donned their full uniforms, and performed a Dress Rehearsal!
