New Parent Meeting

Thursday 9/14 at 8p in the Foothill MPR

Join us on Thursday night (9/14) at 8p in the Foothill MPR! We will be holding a New Parent meeting to catch you up on what is happening this year, what to expect, and get you ramped up on some terms and vocabulary you may have heard, or are still learning. Once we are done, you can make your way to the field and watch the Marching Band perform. All parents, new and old, from all ensembles are welcome!

Symphony Orchestra

Last week, the students were very productive, and in return they all learned a lot! As they rehearsed the pieces, Mr. Nishimori would give them tips, mostly related to articulation and dynamics. With dynamics in mind, the pieces started sounding more polished and ready for performance!

Wind Ensemble

Students had another great pep bad performance last week. They also worked on sight reading a unique piece called Letter from Sado.  This piece is interesting, involving changes from chaos into an organized melody.

No Pep Band this Friday

No football game on Friday 15. No pep band.

Concert Attire requirement

First concert in this school year will be on Saturday, November 18, 2023. Please have your students’ concert attire ready by then.

During the new music parent meeting 9/14, we will have a hand down event of concert attire. If you have a tuxedo or concert dress that your students no longer wear but in a good condition, please bring them to the meeting to donate them for new music students. New music parents, please join the meeting 9/14 and have an opportunity to receive hand-down concert attire!

Meat and Seafood sale update

Hello parents! Many thanks to everyone who volunteered, helped sell, set up, clean, break down, and purchased meat and seafood from the sale! It was a great success and the team was very happy with the amount we sold. While we are still calculating the final numbers, we were just shy of a complete sell out! Expect an update with the final amount raised next week.
