  • Fall Marching Band Show Link
  • Band Booster Holiday Message
  • Volunteer Opportunities
  • Winter Season Sign-Up
  • Fundraising Events – Crab Feed and See’s Candy
  • Laundry Help

One additional reminder – we will be holding our January General Booster Board Meeting  on January 13, 2021, due to the holiday the following week.  Please note this on your calendar and join in to get an update on the Band Program.

Fall Marching Band Show

While the 2020 Fall Season presented a challenge for our Marching Band.  The students kept their heads up, kept practicing and with the support of our amazing band directors, still managed to put on a show.  Check out the show and congratulate your student for all their hard work!

In addition, we have added some great new pictures to the FLICKR site. You can also access it on the Band Website under Media, the password was provided via email.

Band Booster Holiday Message

We hope you enjoyed seeing the final product for the Fall Program. Thank you so much to the parents for trusting in the program and supporting the students, technicians, the teachers and the boosters.  The students are the real winners and what they are able to accomplish together is inspiring.  A special Thank You to Danelle Berdahl and the Senior Parent committee workers for making Senior Night a huge Success.

I hope the students look back upon this very strange time in their lives feeling cared for and that they have a family with The Foothill Band.  I want to tell the other Executive Board Members –  Diane Gorham, David Hubbard, Michaella Hwang, Vikram Prasad, Bill Sowa, & Jeannette Woo what a privilege it is to work beside you! You are all amazing!  Thank You Mr. Nishimori and Mr. Hinojosa for all of the hard work you do daily for our students.

We wish each of your families peace and good health during this holiday season.  We hope 2021 brings us all back together again in person and look forward to working together once again.

Happy Holidays!  – Holly Crane

Volunteer Opportunities

Parents – Volunteering this year, like many things with our program has been impacted.  By now we would have completed the Annual Band Review and started gearing up for a busy set of Spring Events.  While the different roles may have slowed, we still have a GREAT need for volunteers.  With our upcoming Crab Feed (think crab to-go) and many of our Board Members having students that will graduate – we are asking that our amazing Band parents try to find a way to help.  We can make space for any amount of time you are willing to give!  If you are interested, submit a Volunteer Interest Form.

Fundraising Events

We are very excited to ask you to save the date for our Annual Crab Feed.  We are currently scheduling the Crab Feed for February 19, 2021.  While the event may look a little different this year, it will still have all of the components you care most about – Crab, Auctions and some great music.  We still have a need for donations for the online auction, and our committee could use some volunteers to help.  If you are interested, please reach out to Holly Crane or Bill Sowa.  More details to follow, but make sure to bookmark our Crab Feed website page.

Also, we will be doing a See’s Candy fundraiser, just in time for Valentine’s Day.  Again, more details will be coming in January 2021 – but save those calories so you can help support the Band.

Laundry Help

With the completion of our season, our Uniform Parent has a special task, check out her needs below and reach out to Danelle if you are able to help.

While the actual marching band, Color guard, and Percussion uniforms are professionally laundered each season, the garment bags we use with them need to be laundered at home. I have 16 “sets” of garment bags, each set contains approximately 15 bags which need to be laundered at home.  (1 “set” is usually 1-2 loads of laundry, depending on the size of your washing machine.) Laundering is easy, just wash on warm and dry on low heat, fold and place your stack of folded bags inside one of the bags. I prefer to have bags picked up and dropped off at my house conveniently located near Foothill, but would be happy to deliver and pick  them up if needed.  I am hoping to have all the bags dispatched to volunteers by the beginning of break, and have them returned by the end of the break.  Anyone interested in doing a couple extra loads of laundry to help out the band is welcome to text or email me with their name, phone number, address, and just let me know how many sets you would like.  I will reach out to you to coordinate getting the bags to you.

Danelle’s contact information was provided via Email.

Thanks
