Instrument Usage Form

Attached please find the Instrument Usage Form, for students who will be using school instruments. The payment is not required, but is a suggested voluntary, tax-deductable donation. (The Foothill Band Boosters is a non-profit organization (tax ID #94-2795425).) 

*Our average repair price is between $80-100 per instrument.*

FHS Music Program Mattress Fundraiser - Saturday, 4/21
Have you been thinking about purchasing a new mattress? This Saturday, April 21, there will be a mattress sale fundraiser ... and every mattress purchase will benefit our entire FHS music program!

Here are the details:

FHS Winter Guard and Percussion Show - Saturday, March 24, 2018
Have you heard about our Winter Guard and Percussion Program? FHS showcases two winter percussion groups and one color guard group during the winter season. This year, our Winter Percussion Open group has taken first place at the WGI Regional Championships and the NCPA Competition, as well as first place and sweepstakes at the Granada High Fiesta Winter Percussion Competition! There is such a bright future for these programs, with our students working hard to represent Foothill! 

Foothill High is hosting our annual Winter Show this Saturday, March 24th.  It is our second-largest and final performance fundraiser of the year, with proceeds benefiting the ENTIRE FHS music and guard program - concert, symphonic, wind ensemble, jazz, orchestra, percussion, and guard! WE STILL NEED YOUR HELP!  Please consider signing up for one volunteer shift per family.  Please take a look at the link below and see where you can help.

Spring Cookie Dough Fundraiser On Now!

Back by popular demand, coming up next is our 

Spring Cookie Dough Fundraiser!

Packets will be available for pickup starting Monday, 2/26. 

Click here to download the order form.

Orders are due by 3 pm, Monday, 3/9. Sorry, no late orders or re-orders. 

Orders will be delivered on Wednesday, March 21 (pre-Easter!) and must be picked up the same day by 4 pm. 

Proceeds go to your student account!

FHS Winter Guard and Percussion Show - Saturday, March 24, 2018

We are in need of  volunteers for our Winter Show!

We need parents to help with coordinating and supporting our 2nd largest program fundraiser. Even though this is a Guard and Percussion competition, the proceeds and profits benefit the entire band program. This event can’t happen without volunteer help, so we are asking that each FHS music program family sign up for one parent/adult volunteer shift.

Letter Jacket Order Information

ATTN Sophomore, Junior, and Senior Families:

Attached please find the form for ordering a letter jacket.  The vendor, Jacketback, will be at FHS for Walk-Through Registration, so you will have an opportunity to see a sample of the jacket and to ask any questions.

2017 Band Camp Information

Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year!

Band Camp is scheduled to start on August 2nd for incoming members and 

August 3rd for returning members, 

and will then run from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM through August 9th.  

We will not have band camp on Sunday, August 6th

*It looks like very warm weather ahead - 

please begin to hydrate in the days before camp begins!*  

 

There is a mandatory parent meeting on 

Saturday, August  5th at 6pm 

in the band room -  we will go over  important information for our upcoming fall competitive season, as well as spend some time with the marching members on the field to share the experience of a marching band member. 

 

During band camp, lunch is scheduled every day from 12-1:30, and 

dinner is every day from 4:30-6pm.  

Please make sure to bring lunch/dinner or arrange transportation during our meal breaks. 

 

At band camp we will be spending a majority of the time outdoors.  Please plan accordingly.  The items below are very helpful for your musician to have every day:

·      Sunscreen

·      Water (half gallon bottle/jug)

·      Hat

·      Sunglasses

·      Closed Toed Athletics Shoes

·      Sweatpants / Jacket for the evenings

·      Instrument (if not borrowing one)

The Foothill High School Marching Band is one of the most successful high school bands in the state of California.  In the past 32 years, the band has won nearly 1,000 Sweepstakes awards and 1st Place trophies.  We also have the prestigious honor of having represented Northern California five times in the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade.  No other Northern California band holds this honor.

Under the direction of Efrain Hinojosa, we feature our marching band, color guard, two jazz bands, winter percussion and guard, wind ensemble, symphonic band, and concert band.
